White Pumpkins, the New Orange.

This season instead of thinking orange, I am thinking white. Once a novelty, white pumpkins are becoming all the rage when it comes to chic autumn decorating. These intriguing white orbs look simply stunning when carved, painted and decorated. This Halloween it is time to get crafty with this season's most fashionable accessory.

Hot or Not? The London Méridienne Sofa from Hayes de Fer. Quite an unexpected twist.
The sofa is shown here with an optional bronze nailhead trim.

Driftwood.

I love this White Driftwood Lamp from Pieces. The large scale lamp is made from natural hand selected driftwood which has a white painted finish. There is a custom made rectangle burlap shade, a three way switch and a clear cord and plug. I would enjoy seeing this lamp in a beach house.

Spindle Table.

I am fond of the combination of materials found in this Spindle Coffee Table. I also like the way the sculptural black lacquer spindle adds an unexpected detail to the curved glass table. Measuring just 14.5" high, the table is available from Ligne Roset for about $1,805.00

Flames.

‘Flames’ is a series of light sources based on a gaslight system. These cylinder-shaped elements are available in a variety of four different patterns, each with its own distinct play of shadow and light. These light elements will add atmosphere and warmth to any garden or terrace. According to the JSPR website, JSPR is an interior design brand that is always creating remarkable new collec tions and unique interiors. Their passion is to create designs that both stand for high quality products and for innovation and creativity realized through professional craftsmanship. Among JSPR’s clients are hotels, restaurants, shops, architects, and individual consumers. I like this lighting detail quite a bit and would love to see them strategically placed around an outdoor swimming pool. On a cold, dreary and rainy day like today in Washington, DC, it is difficult for me not to think of warmer summer nights with beautiful outdoor lighting features.

Planterworx.

I recently received a postcard from Planterworx introducing their new "Element Series" planters. The custom crafted planters are available in Corten Steel, Stainless Steel and aluminum. The aluminum planters are available in 180 colors as well as custom color matching. I love the look and function of these planters quite a bit.

Trasscan.

Megan saw this over-the-top trash can in a store while visiting Napa, California recently. I just had to post it here although I do not know the name of the vendor that manufactures it.

PS Cabinet.

I like the way this PS Cabinet from IKEA can function as a media cabinet. This steel cabinet has a pigmented epoxy/polyester powder coating. It features lockable doors for keeping possessions safe as well as a cord outlet underneath. I think this cabinet would work nicely with a plasma television mounted above it. I'm sure any young boy would enjoy this piece of furniture in his room. I'm sure any parent would enjoy the price of just $99.99.

Butterfly Desk.

Perfect for a stylish child, as a stunning ladies writing desk or dressing table is this circa 1953 Scrivanie Desk by Gio Ponti, who designed the lacquer-wood piece, and Pietro Fornesetti its butterfly or "Farfalle" motif. It is available in white or black and costs around $19,500.00 at Van den Akker.
