This Bespoke Silk Scarf Chair by Suzan Fellman is created from vintage silk designer scarves. This low-profile slipper chair is given high-profile treatment. Sleek water jet cut 9" Lucite legs keep things light and modern. Each chair is individually engineered to the three scarves that make it up, so overall dimensions will vary. One leg features an etched signature. Chairs measure approximately 27"D, 32"H, seat height 12", seat area approximately 20" square.

Calvin Klein Furniture Collection

The Calvin Klein Furniture Collection will debut January 2009. The total collection consists of two

different collections. The first of which will be available at Macy's. This collection consists of three groups - City, Weekend and Destination – all with a wood finish of walnut, whitewash and teak, respectively.

The other is The Curator collection by Calvin Klein Home, a ‘highly sophisticated sculptural offering’ that offers a slightly higher quality and detail than the Macy’s range. Speaking about both collections, Calvin Klein Home's Creative Director, Amy Mellen, points out that none of the furniture is ‘cold and modern, so you can mix it with anything you have.' Pictured, above and below, are a few pieces from the collections.

Last night, Megan and I attended the book signing celebration for the new Domino Book of Decorating at the Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams store on Fourteenth Street, NW, Washington, DC. On hand for the festivities was one of the book's authors, Domino Magazine Style Director, Dara Caponigro, as well as furniture designer and store owner, Mitchell Gold.

Cows Come Home.

Direct from High Wycombe, the furniture-manufacturing center of England, the 300-year-old Windsor chair gets a new twist. Ercol Furniture's solid-ash version features turned construction, hand-joined details, and natural finishes that use no harsh chemicals and produce minimal waste. A clear-lacquer finish is offered along with five colors. Upholster it in Marimekko's Kevätjuhla bovine printed cotton. It would be great to see these whimsical chairs in a country-inspired kitchen, or farmhouse dining room.

The sketches, submitted to Women's Wear Daily, were graded by the publication. Below you will find the designer's dress design, and the grade assigned to the dress.
